Western Public Health Unit at the forefront of the battle against COVID-19

The team at Western Public Health Unit (WPHU) are working hard to provide effective contact tracing in the current COVID-19 outbreak. Over the last few days, around one third of all the new cases that were notified in Victoria are in WPHU’s catchment.

To meet the increasing demand as patterns of community transmission of COVID-19 has changed, WPHU continues to grow its ranks with more and more contact tracers coming on board. WPHU is also delighted to welcome data assurance officers, administration officers and professionals with a range of expertise who are helping us provide the Best Care to all those in the West Metropolitan region of Melbourne.
