Staying up to date with your COVID-19 vaccinations
The best way to protect yourself from becoming severely unwell with COVID is to stay up to date with your COVID-19 vaccinations.
Children aged 5-15 are eligible for 2 doses of the vaccine, given 8 weeks apart.
People aged 16-30 are eligible for 3 doses of the vaccine. The third dose should be given 3 months after the second or after COVID-19 infection, whichever happened most recently.
People aged 30+ are eligible for 4 doses of the vaccine. Both booster doses should be given 3 months after the previous dose or after COVID-19 infection, whichever happened most recently.
People who are immunocompromised may be eligible for additional doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, more information is available on the coronavirus website.
The Western Public Health Unit has partnered with IPC health to deliver pop up vaccination sites across the west:
Highpoint Shopping Centre, 120-200 Rosamond Rd, Maribyrnong (near Myer)
- open Monday – Wednesday from 10am – 4pm
- Thursday from 1pm – 7pm
- Friday – Sunday from 10am – 4pm.
Sunshine Salvation Army, 42 Devonshire Rd, Sunshine
- every Friday until 16 December from 2pm – 6pm.
Footscray Mall (near Snap Fitness), Nicholson St, Footscray
- every Monday from 4pm – 7pm.
Queen Victoria Market, Queen St, Melbourne (near the Peel Street entrance)
- Thursday 8 – Sunday 11 December from 9am – 3pm.
Williamstown Town Hall, 104 Ferguson St, Williamstown
- Tuesday 13 December from 2pm – 7pm
- Tuesday 20 December from 10am – 3pm.
Each of these vaccination sites offer vaccines for: COVID-19, monkeypox (mpox) and influenza (flu).
