No Smoking or Vaping Signage Package

The Western Public Health Unit (WPHU) is seeking to promote smoke and vape-free environments by increasing the display of ‘No Smoking or Vaping’ signage across the catchment.

To enable this, WPHU has developed a ‘No Smoking or Vaping Signage Package’ to help stakeholders audit no smoking or vaping signs. This is an action outlined in our Action Guide for Local Public Health and Wellbeing Planning. The package includes the following resources:

  • Please note: your organisation needs to be added to the list before you begin data collection.

Guide to auditing no smoking and vaping signage

  • A step-by-step guide to auditing no smoking and vaping signage in a range of settings, including information about who can conduct audits, which settings can be audited, the rationale for auditing, and how the audit process works.

No Smoking or Vaping Signage Tool standard operating procedure (SOP)

  • Instructions for using the No Smoking or Vaping Signage Tool. This SOP includes the survey link and provides practical guidance for data collectors.

No Smoking or Vaping Signage Tool explanatory information

  • A factsheet describing the location categories used in the No Smoking or Vaping Signage Tool, based on the Tobacco Act 1987.
